Success stories

Case 1: Silencers for power generators

A U.S.-based power generator developer required a custom exhaust system with special dimensions, as the generator would be large enough to supply electricity to an entire town in case of an emergency.

This exhaust system will face the following challenges:

Oversized Corrosion resistant Withstand extreme temperatures (-15° C — 45°C) Must be able to operate with any type of fuel.

Solution: The exhaust system was developed according to the design presented by the client with the following characteristics: Diameter of 8″ Material: Aluminized 409 Stainless Steel.

Case 2: Custom pipe design

A client involved in body building needed to reroute the exhaust system of the unit they were preparing.

This exhaust system will face the following challenges:

*Oversized. *This unit has an engine that, to comply with new environmental regulations, uses urea to facilitate the absorption of heavy metals in the DPF. *4.5″ OD initial pipe (uncommon size on the market).

Solution: A new exhaust system routing was developed in co-design, and an alternative 5″0D pipe was offered, expanding from 4.5″OD to 5″OD to align the pipe with the engine outlet. The diameter is 5″OD (standard market measurement for easy repair).

Material: 409 Stainless Steel, aluminized to resist corrosion due to the use of urea in the system, as urea is highly corrosive.

Case 3: Emergency floor exhaust system

A client building a hospital needs to install an emergency floor exhaust system. This system was located in the basement.

This exhaust system will face the following challenges:

*Oversized

*Sound restrictions

*Requires diverting generated smoke from the first floor to the highest part of the building.

*4.5″ OD motor outlet (uncommon size on the market).

*The piping will be exposed to the elements, so it needs to be made of a corrosion-resistant material.

Solution:

*The flanges for the necessary piping connections were developed in co-design, in addition to the custom routing for the exhaust system.

*An alternative 5″ OD piping is offered, expanding from 4.5″ OD to 5″ OD to align the piping with the engine outlet. 5″ diameter (standard size)

Material:

Aluminized 409 Stainless Steel to resist corrosion that may result from weather exposure.
